Here you can see the OEM transmitter that uses a 433Mhz chip KH2 . This device is able to transmit 8 digital signals via radio. Testing it in domestic applications with two AAA batteries 1.5 V and thanks to its ultra low power, I could have running the unit three months transmitting 10 times/day before replacing batteries. For intensive use you can use an AC/DC adaptor (max. 5V DC). To connect TX with RX simply select the same code on both sides.

As a real application, I connected this boards to a PIR sensor to detect people remotely. When the sensor detected a person, the TX sended a signal to the RX that can turn on a LED or activate a buzzer to warn you (OEM board only provides LED). The TX chip in this board is able to send 8 digital signals. Also was helpful sending wirelessly digital signals from sensors to a DAQ connected to a computer in educational arenas.
You can connect other sensors to digital input and make your own system of remote monitoring and control, even in several areas. For example if you place the transmitter hidden close to your door, you will receive a signal when someone is in front of the door. If add a tilt sensor you will be able to know if the door is opening. Remember this is an educational toy not suitable for critical scenarios.
The cost for OEM TX board with one miniature PIR sensor is 50,76 €
